Terms of service
Last updated 5 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and YGOPROJudge. They cover what the service does, what it costs, what it deliberately does not promise, and what we each expect of the other. Using the site means accepting them.
Who you are agreeing with
YGOPROJudge (ygoprojudge.com) is an independently run study tool for Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG rulings. “We” and “us” below mean that operator; “you” means whoever is using the site. Write to the address below about anything on this page.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Konami, YGOPRODeck or YGOResources. Card names, card text and card images belong to their rights holders and reach this site through the sources credited in the footer.
What the service is
YGOPROJudge answers Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG rules questions, generates ruling notes on card pages, and grades practice and exam material you upload. Answers are produced by AI models reading published rules material.
It is a study tool, not a ruling authority
This is the most important term on the page. Everything the site produces is study material and may be wrong, out of date, or incomplete. It is not an official ruling, and it does not come from Konami or from any tournament organiser.
- At an event, the Head Judge is authoritative. Nothing here overrides a judge’s call, a floor rule or an official document.
- Do not use an answer from this site as the basis of a tournament decision, an appeal or a penalty.
- Check anything that matters against the official card database and the current rulebook before you rely on it.
Accounts
- An account needs a working email address. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your sign-in to yourself.
- Accounts are personal and for one person. Store plans include named staff seats; those are the sharing the plans allow.
- YGOPROJudge is not for children under 16, and we do not knowingly open accounts for them.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Acceptable use
While using YGOPROJudge, do not:
- scrape it, crawl it beyond ordinary browsing, or automate access to the answer features;
- work around usage metering, credit limits or the sign-in wall, including by opening extra accounts;
- resell, rebrand or bulk-republish what the site generates, or use it to train or evaluate another model or service;
- upload material you have no right to share, or anything unlawful, malicious or someone else’s personal data;
- attempt to break, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service or the infrastructure behind it.
Your content and ours
Your questions, chats and uploads stay yours. You give us permission to process them to run the service — which includes sending them to the AI providers described in our privacy policy — and nothing more. We may use anonymous, aggregated usage figures to improve the site.
The site itself, its wording and its generated ruling notes are ours. You are welcome to use them to study and to quote them; systematically copying them into another product is what the term above rules out.
Plans and credits
- Credits. One credit is roughly one Ask question. A subscription grants a pool every month — credits on the individual plans, pooled Pro answers shared across the seats on a store plan — and the pool resets at the start of each UTC month. Unused monthly credits do not carry over.
- Yearly subscriptions are one charge for twelve monthly grants, not twelve months of credits released on day one.
- Credit packs are one-time purchases for accounts on a paid plan. They add credits on top of the monthly pool, and those credits do not expire.
- Plans, prices and credit amounts can change. A new price applies to new purchases; a subscription you already have keeps renewing at the price it started at.
Payment
Payments are processed by PayPal. You pay on PayPal’s checkout, with your PayPal balance or a card, so your card and bank details go to PayPal and never reach us. PayPal only processes the payment: we are the seller, so your purchase is a contract with us, not with PayPal. Your use of PayPal itself is covered by the PayPal User Agreement. Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay; if you pay from a balance or card in another currency, PayPal or your bank does the conversion.
Subscriptions are PayPal automatic payments: they renew every month or every year, as you chose, until you cancel. There is no cancel button on YGOPROJudge; you cancel in your PayPal account, under Settings → Payments → Automatic payments (PayPal’s help page shows where). Deleting your account also cancels the subscription. Cancelling stops the next charge; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then ends.
To change plan, cancel the current subscription first and then buy the new one: checkout will not start a second subscription while one is still set to renew. Nothing is prorated — the old plan simply runs to the end of its paid period. For refunds, see our refund policy.
Availability and changes
We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted. Features can change or be withdrawn, and the AI providers behind the answers can have outages of their own. Where a change removes something material from a plan you are paying for, we will tell you and you can cancel.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires. In particular we do not warrant that any answer is correct, complete, or accepted at any event.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim connected with the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death, personal injury or fraud, and nothing takes away the mandatory consumer rights of the country you live in.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using YGOPROJudge and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, if payment fails, or if we have to for legal reasons. When an account ends, its unused credits end with it, pack credits included, subject to the refund policy.
Governing law
If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in applies to this agreement and nothing here displaces it. For anything else, write to us at the address below.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change we update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use YGOPROJudge after a change means accepting the new version; if a change is material and affects a paid plan, we will tell you before it applies to you.

The contact address for questions about these terms will be published here shortly.
