  • You can only activate 1 "Forbidden Crown" per turn.
  • Cannot be activated during the Damage Step.
  • "Neither player can activate monster effects in response to this card's activation" is not treated as an effect; monster effects cannot be chained even if this card's effects would be negated.
  • You can apply this card to a Normal Monster or a monster whose effects are already negated.
  • If applied to a monster that has declared an attack, that attack ends.
  • If the affected monster leaves the Monster Zone as cost to activate its own effect, its effect is still negated.
  • If the affected monster is no longer face-up in the Monster Zone, the applied effects stop applying.

Card-specific notes from database

  • (Konami neuron) An affected monster can still be sent to the GY for a Special Summon procedure that is not a Fusion Summon (e.g., "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon"), but it cannot be Tributed for a Special Summon procedure.
  • (Konami neuron) "Unaffected by activated card effects" does not protect against continuous effects (e.g., "Skill Drain", "Crackdown") or delayed effects (e.g., "Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon", though this card's anti-destruction effect still applies).
  • (Konami neuron) "Nibiru, the Primal Being" can be activated while an affected monster is on the field, as long as there is at least one other monster that can be Tributed; the affected monster will simply not be Tributed.
  • (Konami neuron) If activated as Chain Link 1, the opponent cannot chain a monster effect like "Droll & Lock Bird" as Chain Link 2.
